Sexy Saturday Round-Up

By Liz Everly and the Lady Smut Bloggers

LS Fb squareHello, sexy. We are back from the Holidays and here for your reading pleasure. We’ve scored the Internets and found some very interesting posts for you.

Have you ever wished you had more sex when you were younger?

Moms are not supposed to like sex? I missed THAT memo.

Weed on your lady parts. Yes, you read that right.

From Alexa:

Love, marriage, and ebola … yeah, it’s complicated.

Before Google, research librarians used to take on the general public’s weird and whimsical questions. (Now I have one of my own: What is a musical orgy?)

Who else loves the beta hero? Quite a few folks, thankfully.

From Madeline:

Why does guilt increase your pleasure?

Are you a narcissist? Take this test and find out!

I know I’m late in replying… but I just have to put this out there.

Not all alphas are as written.

Seriously, most humans have never been intimate with a true alpha, so they do not understand the inner workings of the mindset. They see the posturing of non-alphas attempting to attain a dominant position in a group, and mistakenly believe that this is alpha behaviour. It’s not. An alpha – at least a healthy one – is controlled, because otherwise they’re somewhat dangerous. They don’t pick fights, they’re intelligent or at the very least more cunning than the people around them, they tend to have a wide range of personalities… and when they enter a room, people notice.

They might not be the tallest or the strongest or the most physically impressive (prettiest) person in the room, but they’re the one that the room stops and listens to when they talk. They might not be the most outwardly aggressive person in the room, but when they move, they are leashed power and their violence simmers with sex and the promise of pain if you get in their way. They are the people that do not have to train command presence. They are the ones who cannot help but be listened to. They are the ones that don’t have to fight for dominance, because their position is already assured; they might like to or enjoy the physicality of it, but they don’t have to.

So the things we love about “beta” heros… those are traits that true alphas posses – the self-confidence, the sensitivity, the ability to communicate and show care for the people around them… and the power to still fight when necessary.
